Business Lending Manager

A local credit union is seeking a Business Lending Manager who will be responsible for commercial lending business development functions. In this role, you will source commercial accounts and handle loan requests, participations, and processing.

The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience in lending.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loan origination, processing, underwriting, and servicing functions.
• Network to develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential member businesses.
• Coordinate and direct the development of new products and/or product enhancements.
• Approve loans up to prescribed limits.
• Develop strategies to solicit and originate commercial loans.
• Originate business deposit accounts, merchant services, and other products and services suitable for member businesses.
• Negotiate leases, listing agreements, and purchase agreements.
• Conduct periodic property inspections of commercial properties held for collateral.
• Direct repossessed property management and disposition.
• Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of lending functions and services.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5 years of lending experience or bachelor's degree in business/finance with 3 years of lending experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of business lending requirements, and thorough understanding of income property and construction lending.
• Knowledge of property management, collections procedures, and legal actions.
• Knowledge of loan documentation and closing.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate appraisal techniques and title issues.
• Ability to work at different branches as needed.
