Vice President of Finance

Our client, a credit union in Kailua-Kona, is seeking a Vice President of Finance to handle all financial and accounting functions within the organization. This role will manage the overall operations of the Accounting Department. This includes strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, monthly reports, staff supervision, banking and annual audits.

Qualified candidates will have their bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with a minimum of 7 years' experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the Accounting Department.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
• Oversee semi-annual performance appraisals of direct reports.
• Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals.
• Ensure financial management processes are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures and Federal regulations.
• Direct and coordinate financial management processes, financial reporting, liquidity management and budget management functions.
• Interview and make hiring decisions for the authorized positions of the department.
• Audit and take action as needed to ensure accuracy and correctness of all general ledger accounts.
• Establish benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.
• Work with external auditors in completing the annual opinion audit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required. Master's degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting/finance.
• CPA license is preferred.
