Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller to join their dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy, managing general ledger maintenance, month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.

Pay

$100,000 to $130,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements related to development projects.
• Monitor and report on project budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial plans.
• Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and guidance.
• Conduct variance analysis and prepare detailed reports for management review.
• Assist in the preparation of forecasts and financial models for upcoming projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in publicly traded company.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly.
• Experience in development accounting preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment State and Federal Background check.
