Welder Assistant

A locally owned and operated welding contractor is seeking a full-time shop helper. You will be working with heavy construction materials focused on the welding industry. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enhance their welding skills and gain valuable experience by working alongside experienced Journeyman Welders. You will assist welders with moving materials, handling incoming and outgoing supply orders, loading steel onto trucks and other general warehouse duties.

Full-time, 6:00am-3:00pm

$21 an hour

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties in the shop and around the office.
• Serve as an all-around shop helper.
• Load and unload steel and metal materials safely and efficiently.
• Provide assistance to Journeyman Welders with various tasks and projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience is required.
• Must have all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary for the role.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve. 
• Reliable and hardworking.
