A local school is looking for an independent and self-sufficient IT Coordinator to join their team. In this role, you will be reporting to the head of the school and will be responsible for performing computer, network, and multimedia-related tasks on two separate school campuses.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay

$40,000 to $60,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for error reporting and tech support.
  • Use the help ticketing system and provide end-user support for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Provide technological and audio-visual support to students, faculty, and staff during regular school hours and special events including nights and weekends. 
  • Provide training to a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Diagnose hardware and software problems.
  • Repair or replace damaged hardware.
  • Maintain inventory database, wired/wireless network, and phone systems.
  • Test, evaluate, install, and configure software and hardware.
  • Maintain, implement, and support audio-visual systems.
  • Administer network user accounts, email accounts, and manage campus security network.
  • Assist with researching and providing the necessary information for grants and technology plans.
  • Perform minor desktop hardware repair of computer equipment and peripherals that are not covered by vendor maintenance agreements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an IT coordinator preferred.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a school environment with students (from grades K-12) and teachers.
  • Familiarity with Macbooks, iPads, Google Workspace, monitors, printing management systems, projectors, and SMART Boards is highly desirable.
  • Ability to learn new software and applications quickly.
  • Ability to support the school's technology systems.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
  • Offer of employment contingent upon passing a state/federal background check, and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Offer also contingent upon successfully clearing a 2-Step TB test. This is a direct requirement from the client and not an ALTRES Staffing requirement.
