A local tax office is looking for a dedicated Tax Season Receptionist to join their team for the upcoming tax season, starting in February and concluding in April. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients and will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors and callers.\

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm | Saturday, 9:00am-2:00pm

Pay

$20 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  • Check clients in/out and process invoice payments.
  • Schedule in-person appointments as needed.
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
  • Print, file, copy, and scan documents as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the income tax field is a plus.
  • Flexibility in schedule as office hours may fluctuate.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills. 
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
