Medical Biller

Our client is seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing claim discrepancies, correcting errors, and ensuring compliance with billing requirements to facilitate accurate and prompt reimbursements. This is a temporary position that will last 2 months with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process claims from the worklist, resolving a minimum of 50 claims daily.
• Ensure all claims are corrected using CPT, ICD-10 codes, and modifiers for accurate resubmission.
• Distinguish between UB04 and 1500 claim formats, adhering to payer-specific requirements.
• Navigate practice management and EHR systems to make claim adjustments and support accurate billing.
• Analyze trends in claim errors, proposed solutions, and improve workflows for better payment outcomes.
• Maintain familiarity with FQHC-HI billing protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience with FQHC-HI billing practices preferred.
• Proficiency with the AthenaOne EHR system.
• Proficiency in using practice management and EHR systems for claim adjustments.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding, and modifiers.
• Understanding of payer requirements for claim formatting and resubmission.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
