A local employment administration company is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Product Manager to join their team at their Honolulu headquarters. In this role, you will work closely with software and application development teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of a highly configurable platform. You will serve as the primary liaison between company management, engineering, QA, and other business stakeholders, overseeing diverse projects and providing technical problem-solving. Candidates will have the option for hybrid work after completing training.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience as a business analyst or product manager for a cloud or enterprise software product.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and documentation for end users to maximize system usability.
  • Identify areas for process and product.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple business projects, prioritize a complex product backlog, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop reports and data visualization tailored to the organization’s specific operational needs.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather and translate business functionality into detailed system and application requirements, especially within a configurable platform.
  • Work with engineering and QA teams to ensure detailed specifications align with the application’s modular structure and requirements.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the assigned domains, demonstrating an understanding of the platform’s configurability and technical capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
  • Previous experience with wireframing and prototyping tools to clearly communicate system requirements.
  • Background in HR, onboarding, or applicant tracking systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in system design, especially for configurable platforms.
  •  Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development methodology
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
