Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Coordinator to join their team and ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and are completed on time and within a budget. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes and managing project timelines, resources, and communications.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm

Location

  • Honolulu, Oahu
  • Sand Island, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$80,000 to $100,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
  • Estimate smaller projects and change orders for approval by operations manager and/or president.
  • Manage, organize, and conduct the quality control meetings.
  • Review and familiarize oneself with contract documents.
  • Ensure testing is performed and provide Quality Control certifications and documentation as required per contract.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
  • Assist in compliance with safety programs and safety indoctrinations.
  • Ensure Global Harmonization Standards (GHS) and all safety/regulatory posters are posted and up to date.
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a project manager, superintendent, QC manager, project engineer, or construction manager. 
  • Current certification in “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” or willingness to get certified.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification or willing to get certified.
  • USACE/NAVFAC 40-hour EM-385 Awareness class or willing to get certified.
  • Any additional recommended safety, scheduling, project management training, and certifications a plus.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
