Insurance Agent - Commercial Lines

We are seeking a skilled Insurance Agent to join a local Insurance Brokerage in the heart of Kahului. This role requires a dedicated professional with a deep understanding of the insurance landscape and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in the insurance industry and a strong background in managing, quoting, and maintaining clients' insurance policies.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Kahului, Maui

Pay

$25 to $35 an hour

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, ensuring their needs are met and policies are up to date.
• Quote new and existing commercial insurance policies, providing clients with the best options available.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and support.
• Utilize insurance software such as TAM and other relevant platforms to efficiently manage client information and policy details.
• Stay informed about industry trends and changes in the local market to provide clients with the most relevant and competitive insurance solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Previous experience in commercial insurance highly preferred. 
• Experience utilizing insurance software such as TAM or others.
• A valid Producer License is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with the local market.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
