Temporary Janitor- 3 months

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to assist our client and ensure our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) remains spotless and welcoming. Your role will be vital in maintaining a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff, contributing to the overall quality of care. This assignment is starting in February 2025 and expected to be about 3 months.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

Location

Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$20 an hour

Responsibilities

• Engage in manual cleaning and maintenance of the ASC, including heavy lifting and accessing hard-to-reach areas.
• Operate heavy industrial cleaning equipment efficiently.
• Disinfect and sanitize high-traffic areas multiple times daily as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing floors, and vacuuming.
• Refill essential supplies like toilet paper and paper towels.
• Conduct maintenance activities to ensure sanitary conditions in bathrooms.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Mop floors in various areas including cubicles, offices, and restrooms daily.
• Change trash liners and dispose of trash bags appropriately each day.
• Clean designated facility areas as requested and at the end of each business day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work in medical buildings is a plus but not required.
• Physically able to perform essential duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work with cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Pre-employment drug test and State and Federal background check required.
