Retail General Manager

A local shipping store is seeking an experienced Retail General Manager to join their team and handle the daily operations of the store. In this role, you will take charge of all aspects of the business such as supervising employees, maintaining records, compiling reports for bookkeeping purposes, and handling payroll.

The ideal candidate will have previous retail management experience and be proficient with QuickBooks and have basic bookkeeping knowledge.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm | Saturday, 10:00am-2:00pm

Location

Napili-Honokowai, Maui

Pay

$23 to $26 an hour

Responsibilities

• Take charge of all aspects of running the business.
• Supervise and support employees.
• Provide excellent customer service ensuring every customer leaves satisfied.
• Pack and ship domestic and international packages and mail with precision and care.
• Order supplies and manage inventory.
• Maintain various files and records.
• Perform basic bookkeeping tasks to keep the company's financials in check.
• Compile monthly reports for bookkeeping purposes.
• Utilize QuickBooks to submit payroll efficiently and accurately. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail management or a similar role.
• Previous experience in shipping and inventory management is a plus.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and basic bookkeeping.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills. 
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
• Pre-employment State and Federal background check required.
