Pastry Cook (Level 4)

A high-end resort on the Kona coast is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Pastry Cooks (level 4) to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced pastry cooks and further develop your skills.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about pastry arts and understand standard measurements and proper food handling procedures.

Hours

Full-time, 4-5 shifts per week, AM & PM shifts available

Location

Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$23.50 an hour

Responsibilities

• Receive, rotate, and stock food supplies.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Responsible for production of your single station.
• Assist with service of menu items during meal periods, banquets and other special occasions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous pastry experience is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Ability to read recipes and re-produce them accurately as well as understand standard measurements, temperatures and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to follow detailed verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time, and able to regularly bend, kneel and lift supplies as needed.
