Parent Consultant

Our client is seeking a Parent Consultant to join their team and assist parents of children with disabilities. In this role, you will provide support and guidance to parents, helping them navigate the challenges of parenthood while ensuring a positive environment for their children.

Our client is open to both part-time and full-time applicants.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar or related field and strong communication skills.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (Part-time or full-time)

Location

• Honolulu, Oahu
• Kapolei, Oahu

Pay

$18 to $20 an hour

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized consultation and support to parents of children with disabilities.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to assist parents in managing their family dynamics.
• Facilitate workshops and group sessions on parenting skills and family management.
• Maintain accurate records of consultations and follow-up actions.
• Stay updated on the latest research and trends in parenting and family support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role or related field.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications.
• Strong understanding of family dynamics and child development.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel inter-island as needed.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
