The sitter position is in a medical library at a hospital. You will be working independently observing patients virtually and communicating with staff working on the floor. The shift are 12-hours - 7:00am to 7:30pm or 7pm to 7:30am. Because you will need to monitor at-risk patients, NA experience is required.

This position performs continual observation of patients who are at risk for causing injury to themselves or others and/or whose behavior is unpredictable or difficult to manage. You will be in an observation room and maintain constant visual observation of the patient. You will communicate frequently with the patient and provide distraction activities to promote comfort, safety, and satisfaction. You will be expected to regularly communicate the patient’s activity and behavior to the nurse and document verbal and physical redirection intervention.
Qualifications
- High School or equivalent.
- BLS Certification.
- NA Certificate.
- Previous experience in a health care environment - as a nursing assistant for at least 6 months.
