Accountant

Our client is seeking an accounting professional to join their team and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations. In this role, you will be responsible for working with the Controller and Accounting Clerk to ensure compliance with accounting principles and maintaining internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 5 years of accounting experience.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay

$50,000 to $60,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations including AP/AR and general ledger activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance and training as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making and reporting.
• Assist with audits and tax filings.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
